Experience our care through their stories
I am a resident in a great facility by the name Casco Inn...We have a great staff and administration. It's not an easy job because most of the residents are in various stages of care - but these girls go about their duties as if we were their own family. We are so lucky to be here, of course we miss our families and friends, but we will make it with the help of our care takers and to quote Tiny Tim, "God bless them, every one" and I love you gals, every one.
Resident, Jo F.
Thank you for all you do for not just my gram, but for all the residents. I have been a nurse now for 25 years and I am always impressed and grateful to see how kind all the staff are when I am visiting. Your compassion and attentive care is what is making me stay positive during this time I am away from Gram. Warm thoughts, healthy energy and love to you all.
Family Member, Molly S.
Sometimes thank you just isn't enough. I am so grateful for everything. All of you have worked so hard, sacrificed so much and took such great care of our loved ones when we couldn't. You are the heroes. This is such a difficult time and knowing that you are there to make a difference means the world. Thank you for your strength and courage. Please stay safe and be well.

FAQs
Do you accept MaineCare LTC for payment?
Yes, we do! You’ll need approval through the state. This includes financial approval through the MaineCare LTC application and medical approval through a Maximus assessment, which your primary care provider can request.
Do you accept private funds for payment?
Yes. Our private-pay daily rate is listed on our website and currently ranges from $190–$230 per day. We also require a one-month deposit at move-in.
Do you have open beds?
Availability changes daily and depends on bed type (male/female, private/semi-private). We typically maintain a waitlist, with longer waits for private rooms.
How do I get on a waitlist for a bed?
Start by contacting us for a tour. If you feel the Casco Inn is a good fit, you may take an application. We add someone to the waitlist once we have a completed application, a tour or meet-and-greet, and all required supporting documents listed in the packet.
Do you provide dementia care?
We do not have a locked unit. Residents are living in an environment where they may come and go with a sign-out. While we serve many residents with mild to moderate dementia, those requiring a locked or secured unit would need a different level of care.
How do I schedule a tour?
You may reach out by email, phone, our website form, or stop in to schedule. Tours are offered Monday–Thursday 8–4 and Fridays until 3. They typically last 15 minutes to an hour depending on questions and discussion.
Can I bring my car with me?
On a case-by-case basis, residents are permitted to have a car on property. Residents may keep a car in our back lot if they handle all maintenance, snow removal, and moving it for plowing. Many residents choose not to keep a car, but some leave their vehicle with a nearby family member.
How much does it cost to stay at the Casco Inn?
View RatesThis depends on your payment method. Private-pay rates currently range from $190–$230 per day. For MaineCare LTC, the state determines your cost based on income and other factors.
What is included in my monthly cost?
Your rate includes a private or semi-private room furnished with essential items; all meals and snacks; weekly room cleaning and daily bathroom cleaning; activities five days a week; and medication administration.
Do you have nurses?
As a residential care facility, our staff are certified to pass medications and provide personal care. We have a nurse consultant who visits monthly, and our administrator is a nurse. However, we do not provide daily skilled nursing and cannot accommodate residents requiring complex medical care.
Do you have a doctor?
A physician visits every 2–3 weeks for residents who cannot see an outside provider. Many choose this option, while others continue with their own doctor. Residents may switch after moving in if needed. A podiatrist visits every three months for foot care.address any foot issues residents are having.
Do you have a pharmacy?
We partner with Kennebec Senior Care Pharmacy, which delivers daily and serves as our pharmacy consultant. Residents may use another pharmacy but must obtain and deliver their own medications.
Do you provide transportation?
We can arrange rides through MotivCare for residents on MaineCare. Limited local transportation is available with advance notice. Families are asked to help as able, and fees for long-distance or frequent rides are outlined in our contract.
What is your pet policy?
Residents cannot have pets living in the building. Leashed, well-behaved dogs may visit. We also have therapy dogs that visit regularly for residents to enjoy.
What is your smoking policy?
Residents are not permitted to possess smoking materials or smoke anywhere on the property. This policy is strictly enforced.
