About Us
Our Story
In 1986, Linda Horton founded The Casco Inn with the goal of creating a welcoming environment that would serve as “the next best thing to home” for the local aging population. Having cared for many senior family members and completing her LPN nursing training, she opened the original assisted living facility in a historic former inn and attached barn. The building was first converted into a 16-bed residence, later expanding to 30 beds.
In 2000, Linda and her husband, William, created plans for a new and improved 39-bed facility. Residents moved into The Casco Inn’s current home on Roosevelt Avenue that same year.
Today, our staff remains dedicated to meeting residents’ needs and supporting their individual goals. We provide services that support social, physical, and spiritual well-being in a warm, homelike environment. Residents are encouraged to bring personal belongings to make their space feel uniquely theirs, and to enjoy our comfortable common areas, charming dining room, and outdoor spaces on our expansive property near the shores of Sebago Lake.
Licensed personnel assist with each resident’s individualized care plan. Three balanced, home-cooked meals and snacks are provided daily, along with on-site physician visits, laundry services, housekeeping, medication management, beautician/barber services, and a full activity program offering something for everyone. We work closely with families to ensure that all aspects of each resident’s needs are being met.

We are a 39-resident assisted living facility that has been providing exceptional senior living services for over 20 years.
We offer: 24-hour staffing and assistance with daily living activities (dressing, bathing, toileting), Medication management with pharmacist consultation, Home-cooked meals and snacks - three balanced meals daily, Activities department with progressive programs for all residents, Healthcare services including on-site physician visits and R.N. consultation, Personal care services like laundry, housekeeping, and beautician/barber services, Comfortable living spaces with private and semi-private rooms, Beautiful outdoor areas including screened porches and patios

Laura has supported Casco Inn for over 10 years in a variety of leadership and nursing-related roles. She continues to foster a compassionate, homelike environment while supporting residents and staff with high standards and approachability.

Cynthia joined Casco Inn in 2005 with extensive experience in assisted living settings. Her strong leadership, organization, and attention to detail support staff and keep operations running smoothly.
Laura Berry
Assistant Administrator
Laura has worked closely with our residents for over six years and now serves as Assistant Administrator. She compassionately supports the physical and emotional well-being of our community.
Donna Norton
Activities Director
Donna has been part of the Casco Inn family since 2008, creating engaging, resident-focused activities alongside her therapy dog, Cooper. She values meaningful connections and brings warmth and joy to daily life.
